Vinyl Flooring Brisbane

How Much Does Vinyl Flooring Cost in Brisbane?

A clear look at what vinyl flooring costs to buy in Brisbane, with prices pulled straight from our catalogue. Installation is quoted separately by your installer, so this page covers the flooring itself.

The short answer, from live catalogue prices

Across our current ranges, prices run from $26.99 to $46.99 per square metre. Every colour within a range costs the same, which makes budgeting simple: pick the range, and the price holds no matter which decor you fall for.

These figures come straight from the live catalogue, so they match what you will see on every range and product page.

What moves the price per square metre

  1. Thickness and bodyMore material costs more to make. A 4.5mm plank generally sits above its 2.5mm sibling, and you feel the difference underfoot as well as in the invoice.
  2. FormatHerringbone planks carry a premium over straight boards, and the pattern also takes an installer longer to lay, so the format decision touches both halves of your budget.
  3. Range and finishDeeper embossing, more convincing decors and heavier wear layers push a range up the price ladder. That is where the extra money goes.
  4. How much you needYour installer will tell you how much extra to order for cuts and wastage once they have measured. Order to their number, not to a guess, and you avoid paying for planks that end up as offcuts.

Installation is a separate cost

Your installer quotes the labour, and the number depends entirely on the job in front of them: the subfloor, the room count, the cuts and the access. We do not publish installation prices, because a figure typed on a website cannot account for any of that.

What actually drives an installation quote

  • Subfloor condition: a flat, dry slab is a quick start, while levelling compound, moisture issues or old adhesive removal all add prep hours.
  • Method: glue-down needs adhesive and more careful prep, click-lock goes down faster. Our installation guide explains both.
  • Layout complexity: herringbone, lots of small rooms, stairs and awkward cuts all take longer than one open rectangle.
  • Extras: removing old flooring, moving furniture, trims and scotia, and travel to your part of Brisbane.

Get at least two written quotes before you order flooring, and have the installer measure. Their measurement, including the wastage allowance, is the quantity you should buy.

The Other Line Items

  • Delivery: see our delivery page for how orders reach Brisbane and the rest of Queensland.
  • Trims, scotia and adhesive: usually quoted by the installer with the job, worth confirming they are included.
  • Samples: the cheapest line on the whole budget. Samples are 1 for $15, 2 for $20 or 3 for $25, redeemable against your flooring order, which makes checking the colour in your own home close to free.

Not sure which range suits the budget and the room? Start with the buying guide, then compare against hybrid and laminate if you are still weighing up categories.

Price the Decision, Not the Guess

A sample in hand tells you whether the decor is worth its price tag, and the sample cost comes off your order anyway.
