Against real timber
Timber moves with the seasons, marks easily and needs refinishing. Luxury vinyl plank flooring holds its dimensions once glued and shrugs off water entirely.
Against tile
Tile is cold and hard underfoot, and grout lines collect everything. LVP is warmer, quieter and faster to lay, with no grout to keep clean.
Against laminate
Laminate has a wood fibre core that swells once water gets under the boards. An LVP core is plastic all the way through, so a spill is a wipe rather than a repair.

What is luxury vinyl plank flooring?
Luxury vinyl plank, or LVP, is a multi layer floor with a tough, 100% waterproof core and a high definition print layer that can replicate timber, herringbone or stone. Glued down properly it is one of the most stable, hard wearing floors you can lay in a Brisbane home.
What looks of luxury vinyl plank do you stock?
Two, across four ranges. Wood look covers Timberland 4.5, Timberland 2.5 and Terra Mater Resiplank Essence, all timber grain planks in different tiers. Herringbone is the classic parquet pattern in vinyl. If you are after a stone or concrete look, ask us: those come from a different supplier range and we will tell you honestly what we can get.
Is luxury vinyl plank waterproof?
Yes. Every range we stock is 100% waterproof throughout the board. The core does not absorb moisture, so it suits kitchens, laundries, bathrooms and any wet adjacent area where real timber or stone would struggle.
Why choose LVP over timber, tile or laminate?
